Imagine if the FR-S had that resale value? Holy schmoley's, there would be rounds for everyone without hesitation, lol.

This is the first time in my life I've heard about a car appreciating this quickly after purchase.

EAGLE5 09-13-2014 10:19 PM

They only sold about 500 of them, and most were sold before the reviews came out.

Mini Cooper S 09-14-2014 04:02 AM

How is it so heavy? FRS is 2,700lbs.+ 1M is 3,200lbs+ http://i.imgur.com/mvN9Uq1.png (1series pictured not 1m)

I really wanted one when they first came out.

Yeah, so much for that. lol.

When the M2 comes out that will change.

Not likely, the M2 will not be limited as already stated by BMW, so even though it will be faster/better most likely it wont be as rare.

EAGLE5 09-15-2014 11:50 AM

The M2 may draw away enough prospective 1M buyers to let the 1M market drop.

1M has been lucrative for awhile now.

Only sold in 2011 stateside, and only 749 total available. Really amazing car, I always loved my 135i but I would have killed for a 1M.

How? Mmm bigger motor, more luxary, solid construction...sound deadening..heavier transmission and axels...

Quality Quality and the expectation that it will be quiet when driven on the road.

Mini Coopers were quicker. You could drive it home and list it for more right away if you didn't actually want the car.

Buddy bought one, tracked it and beat on it for 6 months, sold it for more than he paid.

Great performer, still looks like a pot-belly pig...

I would take about 25 other cars used or new before buying a 1M for 60K, lol

PPX 09-17-2014 06:14 AM

1M will always be special as it is limited and only available in manual. Ford GT price also appreciated, and it just so happens to be limited production and Manual only.

I guess it's on topic enough, my elder brother and me burning some rubber. :D
That car is a blast!
