What should I buy next?

Hi guys!
I have been around this forum for about a year (yes i know 0 posts..) searching through every thread/topic about the FR-S.

I got my fr-s about 5-6 months ago and my most recent upgrade was
an Invidia Catback exhaust + Invidia Catless Frontpipe. Now I'm wondering what to buy next. My budget works around 2k (working nonstop for that cashhhhflowwww).

I've come to conclusion between several upgrades
  • 1. Eibach sportline springs (I searched over and over about sagging/shocks problems, but i'm willing to do it if possible.)
  • 2. Borla UEL header + invidia overpipe+OFT tablet/tune
  • 3. wheels + tires . (RPF1, maybe xxr's, NT03, Gram lights) (I prefer 18x8+ with 30+ offset..)

**No I don't track my car YET. maybe in the near future.
I would appreciate any insight to which one of these upgrades I should I get ... thanks!

I'd get the wheels.

Hold down traction control for more than 3.5 seconds on a stock then drive/abuse it. No upgrades needed. The only people that need more hp are the ones who can't drive correctly.

Unfortunately many people will end up with this if they do that

It is pretty obvious this guy is just looking for cosmetic appeal. Why waste your time posting stupid irrelevant shit that has not tie to original post.

At least read the original post before making yourself look like a dumb ass.

This site needs a fail button.

OFT has got to be the biggest bang for buck right now. Possibly Crawford power blocks.

For 2k, I'd say: Project Mu hc800 pads, Hotchkiss springs, a set of extreme performance street tires, 225/45r17, on some good condition craigslist wheels and finally an OFT tablet. Should be great in balance and right within your budget. For mainly a simple street car, that would be my setup on your budget. Too bad I've been dumping my budget into my MR2 this year :)

Unfortunately many more people that drive with electronic aids on will end up this way by just being a bad driver, possibly asleep or drunk or otherwise distracted.

Don't worry about that, I've done plenty of that... i.e 2nd set of tires rn. LOL
But in all reality, getting rid of that torque dip seems like a good idea. Even if i'm not in the 200whp range. it's all about that butt dyno right?

Thanks for the suggestion! :)
I also daily commute around 200+ miles a week (college:cry:)

The first thing I'd do is not spend any money yet. The second is to get out on a track and find out if you really want to do that. Assuming you do, 3rd is to read the hell out of these threads:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38926

If your serious about tracking these will be very helpful, and will provide a guide as to how best to spend your money. With only 2K to spend it will be real easy to spend it on things that make little or no difference on the track.

Wow those are some interesting threads.:bow:
However, as of right now tracking isn't really on my mind; like I said maybe some time in the future(maybe i'm just too lazy lol). That doesn't mean I love to go for a spirited drive~ :)
