The new sprintex 335 supercharger
Hi guys, its come to my awareness that in USA there isnt much going on with the bigger 335 supercharger from sprintex. (innovate, cusco, bullet).
I thought id post up a few pictures to show you fitments and clearances as well as how much bigger it is. |
So this is what the bigger supercharger looks like, It fits directly on top of the current kit (intercooled or non intercooled).
It comes with the new throttle body inlet pipe to retain the exact same spot as the current kit. The throttle body inlet pipe is actually a bit bigger (i assume to suit a larger bore throttle body), Another thing i noticed is the fittings are now on the rear of the inlet pipe rather than the bottom, this makes things so much easier as you dont have to remove the whole SC just to change a hose lol. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/c...psbb696b45.jpg |
NOTE: I am sorry i cant do back to back testing as the car is twincharged and that just throws the power increase out the window.
|
The install was a breeze, Remove entire old manifold and sc unit from the car, then swap the units on the manifold and then re-install.
This picture shows the sheer size difference Another note: the white hoses are just methanol injection i use for cooling my intake charge rather than a air to air intercooler. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/c...psa50c410f.jpg |
how much power does it make?

In conclusion:
The power this has with its normal sized pulley makes more power that its smaller unit does with a 69-70mm pulley. The unit is rated to over 400hp with ease so adding a smaller pulley on it (i have a raceseng 70mm) should bump power up quite nicely. The downside: There is a disclaimer on this supercharger which is such: "This supercharger requires a built motor". As far as i know they broke a rod running this kit on regular pump gas when trying to push it as hard as they could. Id assume running e85 would work well with this kit if retaining a stock bottom end. |
There are a couple guys in the US who have the supercharger including one who posted a dyno with it out in Colorado about a month back. I can't seem to find the thread or remember his name though. The numbers were at high elevation and crappy gas so they weren't real impressive.
FYI, Sprintex is now doing their own distribution in the US as Sprintex USA, Innovate is no longer the US distributor. They actually posted a bunch of info on the 335 in the owners thread in the last day. |
oh thats good news then. i was unsure if innovate would be releasing the 335
|
Better to cut out the middle man on this, be curious to see how Sprintex handles it.
|
as far as im aware, sprintex only recently got a new CEO, He is even contemplating not releasing the 335 to the public but only time will tell
|
Well, we don't want to fan the flames or try to put out every fire that pops up. We're looking at a limited release of the 335 and that may change. It will be on sale through dealers like the base kit. We don't expect a high volume of sales of these. Our thinking is that the 210 will have a broader appeal being more user friendly.
