Wheels & Alignment - Plano

Just moved to Plano last month from CA and finally got my new black 17x9 +35 Enkei RPF1s in from Ft86SpeedFactory. Looking to pick up a set of Hankook V12 245/40/17 tires and was hoping you guys might have a recommended place to get the tires installed at? Not sure if I want to have the tires mounted at a Discount Tire or something similar and take the chance of them scuffing/scratching my new wheels up during install.

Also would like to get some input on a good alignment shop to take my car to once I get the tires installed.

Thanks!!

As far as mounting the tires it's really hit or miss with all the big name shops. I don't know of any custom tires shops in Plano area, but as far as alignment try the NTB off Coit and 161 (George Bush). Most the techs there are a bunch of 240 guys and if you talk to them they're pretty cool. Once they know you're into cars and stuff they'll treat your car better than normal when pulling into the bay and stuff. They also have a in ground bay for their alignment so it should be easier to get your lowered car taken care of.

if you feel like spending money Cobb can do it for you at $45 per corner :S

They had average priced alignments but damn seems like they didn't want to put tires on wheels.

Avoid Cobb at all cost. Overpriced and they don't even know how to do alignment. A few of my friends including myself got alignment from cobb and it was so bad. Also when they were installing my kwv3 they threw away my oem suspension without my permission and refused to give any kind of credit or refund, or even apologize at the least.

I won't get my tires or get them installed by then but maybe next time! I will definitely keep an eye out for future trips.

Thanks for the info. I think I will stop by and talk with them this weekend.
