Alpha Auto Spa review - Opti-Coat'd FR-S Monogram [With pictures!]

Paint condition is very important to me, so when I bought my car in April 2014 and I knew one thing I had to do was to let the dealership know that I did not want any prep at all! Luckily enough, they listened.

The second step was to get some sort paint protection for my car. The only place I'll ever trust with my cars' paints is Alpha Auto Spa, in Toronto.

This definitely isn't a blind trust; back in 2012, I wanted to restore the paint on my 2005 Acura RSX Type-S (black) and I had heard a lot of good things about them on the RSX forums. Needless to say, Brian did an amazing job. The paint was beyond messed up.
Here is a 50/50 shot of the car while it was being worked on:

Being from Montreal, I had only given him a short period of time to work on my car (I did not realize how bad the paint was before handing him the car). However, he worked around the clock (quite literally) to get the job done, and achieve a result that I was very happy with.

I decided to go back down to Toronto & bring my new FR-S to him for an Opti-Coat treatment. Once again, I was not disappointed. Obviously, there was less drastic work to do this time around.
Here is the list of things done to my car:
Quote:

Opti-Coat on Paint and Rims
Opti-Lens on Headlights, Taillights, and Plastic Trim
Opti-Glass on Windshield
Opti-Bond on Tires
I gave him another short period of time to complete the work (I'm really not an asshole, it's just that I'm about six hours away! :D) and once again, he delievered both on time and results. It's been about two months, and I can honestly say that all the little tips he's given me about keeping my car clean work!

His attention to detail is beyond anything I've ever seen. A lot of people throw the term "OCD" around a lot, but I have never met anybody who has come close to being as nit-picky about his clients' cars than Brian. He truly takes his job to heart, as a true car enthusiast would!

It's the little things that will keep me, and many others, coming back to Alpha Auto Spa time and time again. For example: he makes sure to wear clothes with soft material that won't damage the car in case of an accident, he waxes his counter tops, he doesn't allow shoes in his garage. You can be damn sure that somebody who keeps his white garage floor as clean as that will do a good job on your car.

I've written enough, it's time to let the pictures speak for themselves.

TL;DR
Alpha Auto Spa FTW
Definitely worth the six hour drive.
Would recommend to a friend.
Also, their Facebook & IG pages are full of shiny car porn.

Does one need to have deep pockets to afford his services?
The work looks great, but, as the saying goes "Cheap not good, Good not cheap".

Oh I forgot to mention that. His prices are really reasonable. Obviously depending on what it is that you're looking for, he'll price it out for you.

That car was winter driven before I bought it, and I drove two winters before I started storing it for the winters.
Apparently, snow brushes can be pretty abrasive! It was so bad that he uses my car as an example

That's nice for TO peeps, but Vlad @Upper Class Detailing is Ottawa's go-to Opticoat and C-Quartz detailing master ;)
