Most mileage while FI

Just wondering who has the most mileage on their FI 86?

Not sure if you searched (fairly common mistake for those unaware of how the internet works) but there's already a few threads that talk about this. As Yoda would say...

Unknown the most boosted mileage is

What search terms did you use?

Triumphrider 09-11-2014 01:55 PM

I just searched "mileage" in the fi threads

You need to be a biiit more specific than that.

I like to use google:
site:ft86club.com <search terms>

That is awesome, I never knew the command line to have google look. Most forum search tools just totally suck.

Triumphrider 09-12-2014 12:42 PM

Yeah good to know I been trying to search using the forum search by thread

I also wonder about how much abuse our motor can take over time. Everyone seems to agree that the FA20 is "strong", but there's a big difference between it surviving 30psi on a dyno for 5 minutes and surviving 8psi over 200k miles without breaking anything.

That being said, 60k miles of boost that one guy has is really impressive. I didn't think anyone even had 60k miles on NA yet lol.

Depends how you drive. commuting on the freeway for 40 miles a day not hitting boost while cruising 2.5k rpm shouldn't be considered fi miles?

Yup! But recently sold it. Built one in the works. But the stock internals held up very well
