Any output on M7 T-Titan or MXP Catback

It seems that not a lot of people are running theses setup. I'm mostly looking at the noise level they both provide and like everyones knows, Youtube never does justice. So let me know how you like/dislike yours !

Ark exhausts are on a rather good sale over here:

From those two, I think I'd go MXP. I like the dual-outlet look.

Arent they both dual outlet ?

I love my M7. It has a very noticeable growl when you step on the foot. It's also quiet when you're cruising- literally sounds like stock unless you're not at sea level, etc. I'm even pairing my M7 Cat back to a Tomei UEL Catless header, still zero drone, just a louder and more rumbly exhaust set up. MXP looks like a great brand too, but I, personally, don't like the non- dual canister design of the cat back. I've never heard the MXP cat backs in real life, but judging from the videos online, it sounds slightly quieter than the M7, if everything's stock except for the cat backs. Also, there's one thing I dislike about the Ark exhausts, they're heavy as hell, but they are quiet- so take that with a grain of salt.

I have some quick sound clips of my set up, with and without my cat- less headers.

Stock everything except for cat back:

Tomei UEL Header -> stock over pipe -> stock front pipe -> M7 :

In the end, remember that M7 Catbacks for this platform are unresonated, which gives off a slight raspy tone to the exhaust note. Most aftermarket exhaust companies mark their cat backs resonated to keep the rasp down.

I wanted to add an UEL in the long run if I end up purchasing the M7, and glad to know it remains tame with it ! Are you using the silencers ? Thank you very much for your output !

Oops. I thought the m7 was single outlet. I'm wrong.

I really need to post the MXP exhausts on our website. Between the two, MXP. LMK :)

Nope, no silencers. As a matter fact, I don't think I even got silencers from the vendor that I bought the M7 from lol. Even if I had the silencers, I wouldn't run it since it'll probably be super quiet for my tastes. Plus, it looks pretty awkward from the rear, seeing the diameter of the inner tubing being so small (pretty much what silencers do to reduce noise). I like being reminded that I'm driving a "sports" car lol. If you do end up buying the M7, you won't regret it. Fit and Quality is perfect. It is however slightly pricer than the MXP. I personally think they're pretty much the same, more or less- you'll probably be paying for the engineering and craftsmanship if you go with the M7. I hope I contributed to your decision! :party0030::burnrubber:

Who sells the M7?

ryoma 09-13-2015 04:22 PM

I have the MXP and it sounds pretty good. at idle, you can barely hear it and once you get on the gas, it's noticeable. there's no drone at highway speeds which is a plus. not overly loud and definitely doesn't sound raspy. only downside is that it's pretty heavy; I believe that it is a few pounds heavier than stock. most people want weight savings so the MXP definitely doesn't give you that. I don't mind it at all though. it has adjustable tips too so you can get the perfect alignment after your exhaust settles in the hangers
