We'll see I guess. Although I've been following the issues and the recent batches have had zero problems. Must have been a problem with an earlier production batch.

On the forums there have been a few that were produced in late august that still had the yellow tint problem. Post up and let us know how it goes.

I will say that I'm a little bit disappointed though. I was hoping Apple would eventually get to this:

This is actually why I didn't even bother looking at the 5S. I just wish they'd bring back the actual color black. None of this Space gray and silver crap. I like the clean look of an all black phone.

Now i want a pop tart.

I want the pop tart with a screen. Comparison image is misleading.

It would become socially acceptable to use a sword sheath again in public. Just for an iPhone this time.

@reni
What kind of android phone?

I fucking despise Samsung's version of Android and 1 minute with HTC's and I noped out of that too, I totally understand Android hate if you're experience is primarily with OEM/carrier/company enforced bloatware and all you want is for it to work intuitively.

imho based solely on personal terribly biased experience:
Cyanogenmod > vanilla Android > iOS > Nokia 3310 > HTC Sense > Samsung Touchwiz

The reason they took away the black iPhone is because the aluminum scuffed very easily. And when it did, the bright silver underneath would shine through and show off the scuffs and chips in the aluminum. A lot of them even came chipped and scuffed from the factory because the black finish was too fragile.
http://allthingsd.com/files/2012/09/...ch-380x285.png

It wasn't that visible on the white model because if you scratched the silver, there would be more silver underneath. So they introduced the champagne, and space grey. Space grey allowed them to have silver chamfered edges so there was less "colour" on the aluminum, and the greyish colour wasn't as easily scuffed, and not as easily noticed when it was scuffed.

That's why you don't see any phone these days that are black that are ALSO made of aluminum. That's why the HTC One M8 is only available in silver, gold, and gunmetal (basically space grey).

I do agree though, black phones just look better. That's why when I got my invite to buy a OnePlus One, I went with this black sandstone one.

i was really let down bye the little improvements they did in the battery life,
that was and is always the biggest complaint i hear about the iphones,

really shocked they didnt make that one of its priorities,

me personally, i use alot of google services, Drive, Voice, Google play music, etc etc
so for me, using an adroid device makes more sense, better intergration ect ect

i used to be a HUGE HUGE anti apple person, i still kinda am, i just dont care as much anymore

hell, even apple admitted they are playing catch up at this point

oh and the iwatch is kinda ugly.. just my opinion

@kALMIGHTY

The OnePlus One is definitely a very good phone, even after the shipping and duties to Canada. I got the 64 GB sandstone, and just finished porting my apps from my Nexus 5.

No yellow screen, everything working just like it should. If you're not familiar with Cyanogenmod it might be a bit much though.

Correct, as long as it's a GSM carrier.

Oh good. I'm glad you don't have the yellow screen problem. Makes me a little more hopeful about when I get mine. Mind if you tell me what your order date was and receive date? Trying to figure out when to expect mine to come roughly lol. And did you get destroyed by duty fees from DHL?
