reading mandarin
 

i know this is a long shot, but Ashe just received a package from Hong Kong, and they included a very beautiful piece of cloth with something written on it, that i BELIEVE is in Mandarin, but I have no idea. I'll post a picture, and if anyone can tell me what it says, that would be awesome.

Yeah, post it. I can definitely read it if it is Chinese.

It means bring wealth and treasure.
Same deal like the cats with waving arm you see at Chinese places.

Just for clarification, it's in Chinese. Mandarin is just a dialect, as is Cantonese. They use the same characters, but pronounce them differently. Being it came from HK, the predominant spoken dialect there is Cantonese.

ah. thank you very much for clarifying that. i wasn't sure if it was like Japanese, with 3 different alphabets or not. (hitagana, katagana, and kanji)

Seeing stuff like this makes me sorta jealous of how "cool" that language looks when written.
