Buzz's Drive and Memorial Sat, Sept 20th 2014
 

Thank you to all that have donated to help support Buzz's trip around Earth's orbit. Donation total is currently at $420 dollars. Our goal is $995, and I know there are a few more people that have expressed they still want to donate. If you are unable to meet with me and would like to donate via internet please PM me.

The Drive will take place on Saturday, Sept 20th. We will meet at Starbucks Coffee in Saratoga at 3pm, leave for drive @3:30pm. Here is the address:

The drive will be to highway 9 and skyline (I have not decided where I will spread his ashes yet), eat at Alices, maybe take a drive down La Honda and back, then continue up to 280/92 junction and carpool to Crystal Lake Resevior. Alexia has requested us to carpool if we can due to limited parking. The ceremony at 7PM Crystal Lake Resevior will be with some of Buzz's close friends in the Bay Area.

> This will be the memorial for Buzz. There will be a short eulogy, a short open mike period for those who'd like to share stories about Buzz, and then Buzz's ashes will be spread in accordance with his wishes (I think you'll like that part.)

> The event will be on she shore of Crystal Springs Reservoir. If you are going along 280 between Sf and San Jose, there is an exit for Hwy's 92 and 35. Follow the signs to Half Moon Bay, but do NOT cross the isthmus dividing the lake. There is parking along the Hwy 92/Canada Rd roadway. Park facing south. Follow the signs:

> Please bring a blanket to sit on and any food or libations you'd like to have during the ceremony. We'll be sitting on a small hill, so blankets aren't necessary, but will make it cozy. The event starts just before sundown, so a jacket is probably a good idea.
