Has your twin gotten you in trouble with the 5-0? I got off with a warning (due to my clear record) for being way over the suggested speed limit on the on and off ramp recently. It was my first time getting in trouble with the law and it wasn't pleasant at all. :bonk:. This car just goads you into driving a little too quick sometimes.

By "suggested speed limit" do you mean the yellow signs?

I dont believe they can do anything about that as long as you dont exceed the speed limit of the road you are approaching, OR unless you are squealing tires (show of speed/reckless driving).

yes Stugray, the officer was on the highway when I merged 30m in front of him and I had a good speed built up (120km/h, and that usually fine), I guess it just seemed to him that I was gunning it. He followed me to the next exit when I exited at a good rate of speed, and then just took his time before he pulled me over. He didn't clock me on the highway according to him, so I guess he couldn't give me a ticket.

haha, thanks for the tip, but it's illegal in Ontario, and this was just an isolated incident really, the BRZ got the better of me and I gave into the temptation.

Bum deal. A V1 along with a sharp set of eyes have gotten me far.

Grand Theft Auto, I mean Toronto problems.

Luckily no hate, but I've gotten thumbs up and "nice car" comments from sheriff's when I ride with the windows down.

Oh the yellow signs. I got followed all the way back home down the highway by a patrolman, I followed every single suggested yellow sign all the way back, intersections 20 mph. Just rolling through.

Granted I was exploring what I thought were backroads, well they weren't.

radroach 09-06-2014 12:31 AM

I can say that every ticket I got I deserved within the first six months of ownership. After that I've slowed down considerably in the city, because cops were saying things like "I thought you were trying to run" or "Does that thing have a turbo?" or "I was wondering why you did that uturn in the dirt and came flying out at 62mph" or the CHP officer "way too fast" after he caught up to me like an hour later.

The last ticket I got, bullshit. I was speeding past a Ford Bronco driver, but it was a 4 lane empty commuter road at 9pm. Too enticing. I was blaring Dead Presidents out the window when they had me. Now my insurance is a wallop every month. So, I slowed down by a lot this year, but now with all my road knowledge I know how to take corners in my city at what shouldn't be legal speeds, but I haven't gotten a ticket in a year so I'm doing good!

Got stopped a week ago at night because I flashed my lights at a car that had theyre highbeams on and was blinding me (turned out to be a cop) and got a ticket for it... And since I'm only on my permit I now how to go to court with the person I was driving in the car with (legal guardian over 21) and might have my license pushed back.... :'( been counting down the days for 4 years and now might have to wait longer :(
