What's in a name?
 

I've seen a whole bunch of nicknames on the forum. Some related to cars, colors, and other interests, but I wanna know what the story, if any, behind the name is.

I made mine waaay back when the internet was a baby. During a time of 56k dial up modems and 2nd phone lines. I was in middle school about that time and I used to do a lot of instant messengers (AIM, ICQ, MSN) and I noticed when I chatted with people I used "haha" quite a bit in conversations. So I thought it would be cool to call myself "hahaman" and it was just coincidence that I was born in 86 so there I coined the name hahaman86 and hasn't changed since.

Now go...

"Gunman", short for "The Lone Gunman", derived from The X-Files conspiracy nut characters The Lone Gunmen. I was a big X-Files and conspiracy fan, and kept the online name ever since.

Ok mine will blow your guys mind.

and I remember when the US Robotics 14.4 modem came out - it was epic.

Atticus is a brand that Blink-182 made. Blink-182 is one of my favorite bands. they took it from To Kill A Mockingbird.
I also named my dog Atticus and I had to put him down in 2009 cause he got very sick. still miss him to this day.

I was in high school when American Pie was big and I looked a lot like Finch back when I was skinnier. 1750 is just a random number from a poker game I played and figured it would never be taken on anything.

Most of my friends call me Finch to this day and it's usually what I got by
