Trunk Release Not Working

Hi everyone,

so just yesterday the trunk release stopped working on my 2013 FR-S. Neither the button inside the car, nor the button on my remote opens the trunk; I have to physically use the key to open my trunk...any thoughts what this could be? I called my dealer to setup a service appointment to get it looked at

There is a switch on the inside of the trunk that disables remote entrance. I cant remember what side its on but it is easily visible

Might have accidentally put the car in some valet 'lockout' mode...going to check this at lunch and repost here...

yeah I have done this too. a golf bag I had in the trunk must have pushed that valet button once and the only way for me to open the trunk was with the key.

Me too.
In the multitude of posts on this subject golf bags seem to be the main culprit!
Maybe we need to tell Toyota and Subaru so they can do a service bulletin!

Well it would add a total new meaning to saying "I got a hole in one"!

Or would it be "I got one in a hole"?

I just taped a piece of heavy plastic over mine after it got shut off by accident. May just disable it some day as I have very few plans of ever using a valet where I would need it.
