Change it, not like any police : CHP is gonna look under the car.

They do though...I'm still installing headers, but I understand the risk I'm taking as a result of doing so.

What area? Since our header is under the car they can't tell if it's factory or not.

You can't see headers from under the car and I doubt many CHP officers will be able to tell you have headers from looking in the engine bay. Unless your car is crazy loud I doubt you'll get ticketed for it, but it is a risk.

Only thing you can legally change is the catback. But even then a **** cop could cite you for a modifying (sp?) An exhaust to be louder than oem. But thats only if you were driving like an asshat or gave them attidude more than likely.

And for the guys saying a cop cant tell, all they have to due is look down and see something shiny to know it isnt stock.

I can easily see the stock header catalytic converter by just looking down into the engine bay from the passenger side.

No way to tell just by looking under the car because there's an aluminum shield covering the headers.

But do you really think all chp officers are going to look there before they look at your catback? If you're getting headers you'll be more likely to get a ticket for making your exhaust exceed the legal db limit before you get a ticket for not having a cat on the heads.

That's the cat on the stock header, isn't it?
