Jerry's Autobody - Any word?

I recently rear ended a guy, going 10mph. Nothing too serious, but they're swapping my hood and bumper with third party parts. Anyone have any work done by them? They're in Jackson, NJ. He claims to have done a ton of BRZ's, I'm nervous going third party.

Also, he's replacing a headlight which is annoying because I didn't see much wrong with them and now I need to re-darkhouse them -__-

I actually had a new front bumper installed/painted there.

The paint match was absolutely perfect! They killed it with the paint.

However, the 18 year old getting paid 7.25/hour to mask up cars sucks. The masking job they did on the mustache/grill was shitty.
I'm pretty sure he hasn't done many brzs, im positive mine was the first a few months ago. Hes just trying to gain your confidence. Why do I think that?

I argued with them for 15 minutes about whether or not the mustache/grill was integrated or a separate piece.

Edit: I've seen you driving down etra road before, I think.

Do you have a blue brz?

And yeah I feel you. The way they worded stuff was a little shady. I'm going to complain if they mess up for sure. I'm so anal about this car.

No SWP brz. I wanted to complain about the masking job, but they matched the swp so well that I didn't want to risk it not coming back as good the second time around. Nice guys though.

When you say masking job.. what do you mean? Is there "spray-over"?

You see what I mean? They just didn't tape off the grill/mustache very well, and painted a few mm of stuff that wasn't supposed to be painted.

Ignore the line from the clear bra.

I can see how that would be annoying but I doubt most people would notice that and the paint looks good

I called 'em and told him about your case (without any name dropping) and he denies that's ever happened and assures me it'll be okay hahahahaha now I'm really nervous.

I had no problem with the overall paint work, I and I never went back and confronted them about the poor masking because it wasn't really worth my time. If they can't match swp as well as they did, I'm pretty confident in their ability to lay paint.

Got my car back, looks good as new minus a few kinks with the bumper not being 100% flush. It'll just need to be put on again. Paint matching and all is perfect, they fixed everything perfectly.

If it's the bumper to fender you're referring to, you may be out of luck. Several of us have this issue just from taking the bumper off, and a few reported this issue without ever having removed their bumper.

It's just a bad design.
