As a fun daily driver or weekend car, I think the ND would be great. It's basically a modern NB Miata.
The main issue with it is probably the used car market. You can pick up a used NA/NB Miata for less than 20% of the cost. I'd also have a hard time picking this over a used S2000 (significantly faster) or FR-S/BRZ (more practical, trackable w/o roll bar). I'm glad Mazda had the vision to bring it to market though. Always good having more lightweight RWD options out there. |

155 is disappointing, but on the street that would be fine with me. I practically never get into VTEC in my S2000 on the street, so it's basically a 150hp 2800 lb car and it's still a hoot to drive. On the track, though, I would want a lot more power...

It sounds like the Club edition is going to be the one to have. 2330 Lbs, aero, LSD, Bilstiens, BBS with 205/45-17. It still the same 155HP/148TQ but lots of other go quick turn quicker goodies:

I am super stoked for the miata. If I can land a new job in between now and when it comes out I will most likely trade in my FRS for a nice club edition with brembos (if I can afford it..) I feel like this is the first modern miata to be close to my NA size and weight wise which is a huge thing for me. My only beef is not being able to get a hard top.. Dammit mazda I park outside all of the time! lol
