You can tune your own car with OFT using romraider or ecuflash or you can do it with tactrix/ ecuflash

you can stuff it up with any tuning platform

suggest you read the links below on other tuning platforms that are far more open than ecutek and cost less and dont have licence issues. Yes ecutek is a good product and has some nice extra features, but their are others OFT has been arround for ages for other vehicles such as BMW

You should not tune your car with ecutek unless you know what you are doing you can blow it up just as quickly on ecutek :D

The phrase about Openflash being "new" for boost makes no sense. The OFT is a tool to reprogram the ECU. What is controlling the engine is your ECU. And the ECU has been supporting boost for a long time. There is nothing "lesser" about an OFT tuned SC/turbo car compared to a Ecutek tuned SC/turbo car. Unless of course, you want true flexfuel capability and then the only option is Ecutek (at this time).

Either way, as steve99 mentioned, you can stuff up your engine using either Ecutek or Openflash. So the bigger concern is starting off the best baseline/OTS map possible and going from there (if necessary). We have probably closed to 100 OFT users running FI kits (ESC, Vortech and SBD turbo) and I'd say that 99% just run our free OTS map and call it a day :)

@Shiv@Openflash do you directly sell the sbd turbo kit?

Yes we do. $3995 with the OFT. Tune file is free and it's killer (265-275whp). I've been wanting to get one on our shop car for a while now.

Could you please pm me some pricing please :)

They do for NA tunes cannot see it would be any different for FI tunes just applying the ECU tuning changes to a different base ROM ie a ZA1JD00C man or ZA1JD00D for auto. Their is no changes to the Auto transmission computer its all in the Engine ECU.

The standard mapping changes applied to the AT ROM should work just fine. I believe there is already a couple 6AT cars running our OTS map for the SBD turbo with no issue.

E-tuning for FI on this car is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. You need to be aware of the dangers especially if you're chasing hp. If you want to maximise your hp, tune it on the dyno. Period.

However, if you go over all the boxes and verify you have all of parts then you should be ok.
The support is great though whether you call in or just send a PM at this forum, so all your issues should be resolved promptly. KW also has occasional deals and the kit can be had for a lot less (about 25% +/-) than JR kit (shipped).

Cool thanks. Now if someone would get Shiv to tune for it.
