Before and after, small accident ($5k worth of damages)

In case anyone wants to know what $5000~ worth of repairs looks like...

So about 2 weeks ago I was sitting at a red light, completely stopped with 2 cars in front of me waiting.

I notice a CRV coming straight at me traveling down the middle of two lanes; I am certain this stupid lady didn't even brake going towards a red light, and smacks me right in the driver side quarter panel.:(

2 weeks later, and roughy $5k in repairs (paid by her insurance thank god) here we are!

Don't mind the exhaust tip, it looks a little off in the picture haha, but it is correct!

Pretty much every piece of the rear suspension was replaced. Repaired Quarter Panel, replaced bumper, repaired door, wheels(3x) reconditioned, tire replaced, etc

Stay safe out there guys!

The paint is spot on! I wouldn't be able to tell a difference honesty. Apparently they had to call for some paint expert to match it.

hah, I have almost the same thing. Mine is in the shop now, at least another week.

Can you see where they welded the new quarter in? I'm not looking forward to seeing the repair, I always have had shit luck with repairs and paint. They wanted to recondition my wheel but I paid the difference for a new one. No word on suspension damage. Hope mine comes out as good as yours.

Looks good....what exhaust tips are those??

Now that you mention it, those tips are way off. Not just because of the pic.

Yesterday I was behind 2 people that ran red lights. I swear One happened in the morning and the other happened in the evening. They normally run the light and in the middle of it attempt to break, at least that's what they both did. Some people zone out while driving and its scary. Wish I had a go pro cause earlier this month I saw a guy on a motorcycle almost run a red light, braked and fell off while he skid on his face. He's lucky the lady infront was yielding to turn and helped him walk himself and his motorcyle to the curb.

Damnnn that sucks, the way it happened just makes you think what the fuck is wrong with people =/ So everyone stopped before you went and somehow you still got boned?....wtf

Hm so its been like 2 weeks already? It only took 6 days of actual labor to get everything fixed for me. Any updates so far?

No update, its holiday weekend.

Friday I emailed adjuster told him I dropped off new wheel/tire at shop and asked if there was suspension/axle/hub etc damage. Estimate is 4700. Waiting for response, don't expect on until tomorrow.

Don't expect to pick up car for another week. And expect to find flawed paint I point out to them and have to wait longer to get it fixed.

Will see how it all pans out :(

They did a good job but do you know if they actually replaced the quarter panel with a metal replacement not just a glob of bondo?

I'm interested in answer, but I can't imagine they could repair that. Max filler thickness is maybe 1/4"? Much easier to weld in new panel, grind the welds and paint.

Those damn rear quarter collisions are shit.

Paint match looks good, glad it was covered.

In the records it says that the quarter panel was sent out to another location to be repaired and paint matched. The bumper was completely replaced though. Huh...I'm honesty surprised they managed to repair the quarterpanel but had to replace the whole rear bumper lol

But yeah, everything is flush and they managed to match the paint quite well. I personally wouldn't be able to tell maybe someone much more perspective would.
