Smokinbuffalo's SWP BRZ

I brought home my BRZ today. Everything went smooth at the dealership. When test driving it the dealer pointed out a blonde in a mercedes doing a double take, and staring. It was turning heads on the way home too. I was getting questions at stop lights, and thumbs up. I popped the hood for some guys at a burger joint on the way home.
As for driving, it is great. The steering is precise, you pick a line and it goes there. It feels planted in the turns, no body roll, and the seats hold you in place. I haven't owned a stick shift since the 1900's, and am pretty rusty. However the stick feels great, and practicing is going to be fun. I am trying to stay under 4k RPMs for the first thousand miles, it's going to be like a totally different car once it's broken in and I can wrap out the gears. The seats are comfortable, and I am not a skinny man. The head rests are fantastic. Feels funny to say that, but the headrest are really soft and comfortable. I am in the honeymoon phase with this car, but do have a couple of gripes. My right knee rubs against the center console's hard plastic, and it got annoying after awhile. I think I saw the JDM cars had leather on that surface, which would help out a lot. My other gripe is about storage. The cubby hole next to start button is tiny, maybe it can be used for change. There is no real place to stash objects out of site. Sorry I don't have many pics, I was too busy driving the the thing. |
Every time I see a white one I smack my forehead. I think that is the cleanest color... but alas, I am "stuck" with my Asphalt FR-S. Don't worry, I will survive. Somehow.

Picking the color was hard. My AE86 was white, so that's kind of why I went with a white FT86.

Congrats!!! I chose white as well. There's something about Subaru's white that I love. Nice house btw!

I made it to a thousand miles. I changed the oil a t 1,010 miles before reving past 4k. Damn the oil drains fast.
She really sings above 5k RPM. Taking corners in second, revving the snot out of it is really fun. |
