This is the exact product for the reduction of that annoyance with first and 2nd gear....Or Reccomendation would be nice, old topics turned to wars and got confusing and hard to understand so i came up with this based off a half hour of reading :cry:

A couple of things to be aware of though...the spec'd fluid is 75W90, this is 75W80. If you have issues while this fluid in there, Toyota COULD use that against you (but it is fairly unlikely). Not everyone has had the results they were hoping for with this fluid (most have had good results though). I've tried a number of different products in mine, and this one seems to work best.

adjusting the clutch master pushrod should be done first to address any 1-2 shift issues prior to messing with the oil. You don't want to mask a dragging clutch disc with gear oil that makes the synchro's work harder/wear faster

no. Get 75W-90.

I'm ready to order this stuff too. Had the same issue and went to the dealer; they changed the oil and said everything was as expected but I still have the same issue and now even 5th to 6th shifts are harder

how much do you need to put in? im about to change out my driveshaft and was planning on putting this in, just dont lnow how much to use.

also 75w90 isnt on amazon they only carry 75w80 for pentosin they do have mobil 1 though haha

I'm running the stock fluid that came with the car. It took a good 7-8K miles before things started to smooth out. I don't have any grinding and can shift slowly to 2nd even when dead cold, where as I had to double clutch to get it into gear before.
The things shifts like a hot knife thru butter when warmed up.
This car was no different breaking in than the manuals I had in
my vettes, both BW and Tremac. Those all took several thousand miles
To smooth out and work better when cold.
The BMWs and Hondas I have owned in the past were smooth from the get go..
Factory tolerances, machining.. Etc.. All matter.. That doesn't mean ours is
Lacking or defective.
I see many owners complaining and trying to fix things that aren't broken.
A little patience goes a long way and will save you time and money..
My .02 and observations..

Biggest thing that Scion and Subaru screwed up on is owner education. I think 95% of the "problems" with this car can be solved by end user education...

No doubt. I've been on car forums for nearly 12 years. This site has, by far, the biggest group of clueless people. I understand it's a new platform and people are testing out different things, but some questions just leave me cringing.

A good portion of the BRS owners were not even out of elementary school 12 years ago...
