Hi, I am a proud owner of a GT86 High Spec and after having the car for a few months I have gotten the "itch" of upgrading the car.
I am looking to change wheels and possibly an exhaust system that replaces the current "tin" sound generated from the stock OE system fitted on the car. Any suggestions and guidance will be much appreciated. P.S I am based in Durban. |
Welcome :)
Exhaust - BRZ zorst is affordable and sounds great. Wheels - visit your local Tyre Mart store and take a look at the A-Line range. Many affordable but nice wheels there at between R4-6K/set. Edited to add : see http://www.alinewheels.co.za/cgi-bin...loadgallery.pl My 2c worth... |
Welcome Smokey....congrats on your car:)

Welcome!
As Fish Eagle said, the BRZ is your best bet with regards to getting a bit more sound out of the car. It removes a cat and the diameter is bigger so you might feel a very slight bump in power. If you really want to make it sound awesome and be noticeably quicker then you can get the BRZ exhaust along with headers and an overpipe. I recommend getting a tune though if you go this route. |
Thank you all for the advice

I have just called Subaru DBN and have been told that BRZ Exhaust is not available and won't be until they have an order for at least 50 units - WTF ?

What's plan B guys?

Give Shamai a call, he will be able to order it and ship it to the DBN Subaru dealership for free. Not sure why, but Subaru dealerships in DBN And CPT are abit anal...
