TRD Springs installed
 

I had the TRD lowering springs installed on a set of OEM shocks/struts. I installed the setup myself over the weekend and had the FR-S 4-wheel alignment done today. The back wheels were pretty much at OEM settings and the fronts were a bit off. I had the technician tweak the alignment for the rear to prevent the back being 'wag-happy' on turns. He had to slightly tweak the front to compensate. Handling is greatly improved and ride is comfortable and not harsh. Pics attached.

Have the same set up with the TRD springs dealer installed. Found that after a couple of weeks the car had settled on the springs a bit more (about 1/4 to 3/8ths of an inch). Took it back in to check alignment and they did some minor tweaks that made a big difference in feel (or I had a serious case of placebo effect). So, if you notice a change in handling after a week or two you may want them to check it again.

When measured against a stock vehicle on a level floor at the dealer I started out at about 3/4 inch right after install and after a couple of weeks settled at a hair over one inch. Make a huge difference in appearance in my opinion.

The difference in height from the OP's picture is certainly visible (at least to me it is). You can really see the difference when you look at the gap between the tires and the wheel wells.
Too give even more perspective (as the pictures don't really reflect the difference that well) the front mudguards are only 1 1/2 inches off the ground.

It is a definitely noticable difference in height and looks that the picture may not spell out as well. After I replaced the fronts, I was going to wait on the backs. The car looked too weird with the back so much higher than the front that I did the backs on the same day as well. Handling is great. I waited 2 days after install for the alignment. I am hoping this will be enough to settle.

Like I said it took almost 2 weeks before mine settled at it's final height.
Never saw mine with the back all "jacked up" still. Would probably have felt like it was 1974 again!!!!!!!

Looks really really good IMO

With spacers there would be less shadow and therefore the drop would be more noticeable.

Ya gonna do them in the spring.
Going to throw the stock springs back on and change to 16" steels with deeper tires for winter so figured I would just do the spacers when I go back to summer mode.

Spacers are great for looks but can negatively affect handling. I am more about the handling and performance.

but at least they are easy enough to change that If I don't like them I can pull them back off. Not looking to track the car so unless it is a huge effect on my DD I will go for the looks.

Just curious. Did yours settle a bit more after a week or two? I have heard conflicting reports as mine went down almost another 1/2 inch but others had no settling at all.
