New, Just bought a BRZ

Just purchased a 2014 BRZ Limited
(yes the auto transmission lol, never drove a stick and way too many hills locally.)

But I plan on doing as many mods as possible

I really love this car
First thing ive bought was the OpenFlash Tablet,, Any advice? or what kinds of whp gains to expect.

and What are affordable mods I should do next cant really get a supercharger or anything yet since payments on the car but I do plan on getting a super charger..

you should man up and get a 6spd transmission mod

b1gb2olo 08-24-2014 11:06 PM

Staying n/a? If so get headers and a full exhaust
Or save for a turbo (kit that supports oft)

b1gb2olo 08-24-2014 11:10 PM

n/a? sorry lol this is my first car

jeffchap 08-24-2014 11:15 PM

n/a = naturally aspirated, versus f/i (forced induction, ie. turbo or supercharger)

Congrats on the new car. So you bought an OFT without researching it first? Lol

You can add a reverse camera for about $200 installed.
Window tint is always a must if you live where it gets 100+.
Exhaust is good to get rid of those tiny OEM tips and give you a better sound.
Look at OEM Audio if you want a bad ass audio upgrade.
Coilovers or lowering springs should be high on the list as well.
While you're at it, get some new wheels on there...

Shoot, did you buy the car so the forum members can build it or so you can!? Decide what's important to you, look at the members car journals for ideas, and check out the threads "what did you do to your frs/brz today" for a ton of other ideas.

Hope you have a decent sized wallet! Once you start modding it's hard to stop!

P.S. Check out my build thread linked below for some ideas and a list of my mods. ;)

I do plan on getting a supercharger in a few years.. I just want more power.
but a Supercharger is a long time away with my budget -_-

OFT seemed better the EcuTeK ..
seen journals of adding 17 whp to stock..

And seems very user friendly.

Lowering springs would be nice but im nervous for the hills where I live

You'll hear this sooner or later, but if you're looking for power then you brought the wrong car.

I Just want a badass car ;) hahaha add around 20-30 whp without a turbo or SC would be sweet enough for me

Cope52 08-24-2014 11:27 PM

Well at least you'll never have to worry about a squeaking TO bearing..

b1gb2olo 08-24-2014 11:42 PM

B&G S2 Lowering Springs or probably what ill buy next. Just hope 1.4in isn't too much with 17in wheel size
