Ticking/Clicking noise when accelerating?
I read various threads about fuel pump noise at idle.
Does the fuel pump ticking noise go away when I'm driving? Am I supposed to get this clicking noise when I'm accelerating? Additional info: This noise accompanies me about 70% of the time. Especially when it's the first drive of the day or when the car has been shut off for several hours. |
So am I the only one experiencing this?

You aren't being descriptive enough, it could be entirely normal as the engine is generally regarded to be rather clickity-clackity in pretty much all scenarios, could be the rear shelf pop-tick as the sheet metal gets pushed around, could be a loose axle nut, could be a bauble rattling around in a cup holder.
Post a video for a flurry of responses and arguing. |

And arguing And MORE arguing! Strat is quite correct though, they are by nature a noisy engine especially when cold. If I had heard the sounds I hear come out of this engine (when sitting in a drive through waiting for my morning coffee) from one of my old V8s I would have been totally panicked and stopped driving right on the spot!! |
