Retrofit heated seats to Premium?

I feel like this would be better off in a different forum, but I didn't see one that fit. :)

Does anyone have any info on retrofitting the heated seats to a Premium model? I'm assuming the car's pre-wired, for the most part, so popping the switches in should be no big deal. But what about the heating elements, themselves? Are they compatible with the Premium's upholstery? Are the parts available individually from Subaru?

You can go aftermarket for the heat pads for the seat or you can completely switch out the seats with aftermarket seats that are heated. I don't like the second option in cars that have the side airbags built into the seat.

It would be nice if they weren't included for Texas customers and instead was a cheaper price. Seat COOLERS would be cool!

I use them year 'round, actually. They're great when you've got a sore back, or it's chilly out and you still want the windows down. They're the ONLY reason I went Limited instead of Premium. I'm asking because I'm considering switching to a Premium with another dealership if mine continues with its information blackout…

I want the heated for a sore back. In my opinion, heated seats and cooled seats are only necessary for all leather seats if your seat is too hot or too cold in different seasons. However, if it's for a sore back, any kind of seat material is warranted :confused0068:
