Front bumper scratch by accident
3 Attachment(s)
Hi guys I just have the worst day yesterday with my BRZ with such a great car I have try to be caution and careful when I went through hump or edge but I have just scratch one corner of my front bumper which I am really sad right now.
I just wondering is there any solution for me to fix it? Could u please provide me some advice and how much will it cost to fix it? Photos attached. Thinking to buy some sanding paper to sand the impact area and buy dr. Colorchip to fix it temporary and if there's more in the future will bring to get it respray? Just dunno how much will that cost tho... SighAttachment 88835Attachment 88836Attachment 88837 |
Just forget about it . The only time you are going to see it is when you are changing the oil. And if you don't do your own oil changes you won' ever see it

I know but I just feel heart broken and want to fix it for this type of paint... Will the dr. Colorchip is the best way to go in budget and go for a respray later on? If yes how much will that cost? |

Wot u mean maybe other respray product or? |
Repaint it if you want it back to square one. Otherwise you have to live with it. Trust me, SWP is a beautiful color and hard to match. And getting your first boo boo is such a bitch. There will be many more cars in your life for this happen to. Live with it and keep driving the shit out of it.

I know, so wot u mean it is hard to match the paint, if they spray the whole front bumper it shouldn't he noticed?? How much will that cost around?? Thinking to do it later in the future I guess |

I had a little of that going on from launching the front over parking blocks a couple times. Oops. I was driving an FJ before this, what can I say....
I "fixed" it with a nice, cheap poly lip spoiler. Now you can't see the scratches. :-) DJ |

So instead of repair u have put a lip to cover it up?? |

I would say it will cost around $500-800 range depending on where you live and company doing the job. Keep going and eventually add a lip spoiler. That will make a BRZ look sick. Keep your bumper unmolested by a paint shop right now. Enjoy the beauty of the OEM SWP. I wish I got that color now. Very classy. |

I should do we need to drill holes for the sti lips? I got a gd excuse to get the lips now XD |

Wot do u mean by unmolested?? |

Uhhh. Like untouched. You know, not getting it repainted...basically. |

Really? Is it hard to install and align, can't find a DIY for this lip yet? Also did u buy the lip skirt from sti as well?? |
I put a cheapo knockoff lip on mine after i got a bit of curb rash on it, now I don't see it, and the cheap knockoff lip can take the hits if it happens again.

I am sorry, I was just wondering how much is yr skirt lip is. And do u think for that amount of damage I can rubbing compound it first to smooth the install or I need to sand a bit?? |
Just keep in mind the lip will cover the damage but also make the front end lower so you have to be even more careful not to damage your new lip.

Just strip all of the paint off of the front bumper and tell people you were going for the RC Spec look.
