Combination Kartboy & Raceseng possible?

Hi!

Did anyone try to install the Kartboy short shifter in combination with the Raceseng reverse lockout?

I did today....but somehow it looks like they don't work together.

Any other experiences out there?

They will not work together. All short shifters have the lock out integrated into them and is not able to be changed.

The guys who said they don't work together sell both of those parts and would have no reason to mislead you. They're one of the largest vendors for our platforms and would have first hand knowledge.

Not according to OP's quote, although it's very vague. I'm a very DIY kind of guy and don't mind a little fabricating to get it to work together. I ask because maybe vendors have encountered this problem enough to come up or hear of a solution.

Also, selling something does not mean you know how it was engineered. I doubt vendors completely dissect all the products they sell. I already contacted Kartboy and Raceseng to comfirm for myself. But as an engineer myself inspecting the Kartboy SS, it looks like it is constructed similarly to the OEM r lock with the pushpin, which probably explains why OP was able to do it, but still have it looking weird. I want to know what I can do to make it work, if that is possible.

I dismounted kartboy and did it all with it ... put locker raceseng

to locker raceseng was in place

it is also necessary to disassemble the stock locker and remove the seals (regrind them that they got into the grooves on kartboy)

Thread is old, but I just discovered this as I went to install the Raceseng reverse lock out on the Kartboy short shifter.

Has anyone been able to figure out a method for getting these two to play nicely together? I still have the stock shifter, so I could take it apart if necessary.
