came home with code p0171 any suggestions

today i went to the dealership for an oil change, everything checked out fine.after the fact i filled up with gas, then after driving about 20 miles. my cel came on reading p0171 system to lean bank 1, any suggestions on what it could be caused by. im assuming the oil change and the gas fill up are just a coincidence. i have had intake, header and full exhaust with ecutek tune for over a year with no previous cel p0171,i do however on occasion get p0420 because of my uel headers. car has 14000 miles on the dot. any help where i could start to diagnose the problem would be great guys.

Without thinking about the tune. Usually a lean condition could relate to air leaking into the engine. Either intake, after maf or intake manifold gasket(doubt it). My grandmas corolla had a lean condition and it was the intake manifold gasket being cracked. Not sure I'm even on the right track but just a reference.

Double check your intake pipes and make sure all the clamps are on tight. You say you got gas. . .it shouldn't be related, but are you sure your gas cap is on correctly? Weirder things have been known to happen.

An intake leak could cause a true lean fueling situation. An exhaust leak at the header flanges or anywhere before or near the O2 sensors will make the O2 sensors "read" lean, which will also cause that code.

Thinking about it some more, my bet would be that something was knocked or loosened when they did your oil change. Just think about what's in the vicinity of the oil filter and fill up cap. . the intake. Start there first.

check to make sure your air filet box is properly closed / secured and the air filter is installed correctly. If they checked it during the oil change, they may have not got it closed all the way. also make sure the oil fill cap is tight!

Which intake do you have? I have had this issue before with my AEM intake. Also, do you have an etune or a dyno tune? If you have an etune, can you post your latest log file?

I finally got a chance to look at everything suggested, sorry i dont have much free time. i have since drove about 80 miles without the light comming on again after erasing it. i dont have any way of taking a log sice my laptop is down, but mabe i could borrow one. only thing i did notice while tightening everyting up is about 3 weeks ago an 18 wheeler in front of me droped a piece of concrete on the road while driving. i ran over it making a very loud noise. i pulled into a gas station and examined the car real quick and noting seemed to be wrong other than a scrape on my lip witch was on the under side so it wasnt a big deal. afer i jacked up the car to check the tightness of the header bolts, i saw the cause of the loud bang it bent the crap out of one of the pipes on my borla header. i was pretty upset ot see that.I guess its my fault for never re installing the plate on the bottome of the vehicle. not to say thats what caused the problem with p0171 but it shure does not look good.
