My GBS 6MT premium BRZ arrived a scheduled this morning! Sadly I was at work till 4PM while the dealer teased me with some pictures he emailed me. I popped in after work to get some of my own shots and a test drive but I couldn't take her home because I don't have my insurance sorted :cry:. I get to pick her up first thing Saturday morning though :D. I don't care, I've been patient this long, I have no problem waiting for my dream car...

And might I say....that test drive was...addicting...no other way to put it. It took the turns sooo flat and perfectly. The engine is so rev happy and the shifter is so precise. I'm absolutely thrilled about this car. I can't wait to have this car for the rest of it's life.

After shopping around for insurance again I stumbled upon Geico...who has never heard of the BRZ....well I'm paying $800 less per year than anticipated. And the salesman was convincing me that they won't change the rates later down the road once they figure out what a BRZ is.

also was wondering, how was the switch between the celica and the brz? the characteristics and feel remind me of my long beloved celica gts, they both have the same personality even though the celica was fwd, and by personality i meant outright fun!

Hmm it's been several years since I drove the Celica and it was only a GT. The way I see it, the BRZ is good at all the same things the Celica is good at it but it does all those things even better. It feels like a puppy dog! It may be a $25k car but I swear it thinks it's a Ferrari. It's a very confident driving experience.

And yeah I have no idea how I'm getting through today and Friday. I'm gonna go nuts waiting.

I love the color, but I thought the WRB would be the "unicorn" BRZ, being as its ONLY a subaru color (GBS is the same as the FRS Ultramarine I believe).

This actually made a lot more sense at the time of making the thread. When we had the pre order thread GBS and red were the least ordered colors. If I remember correctly, GBS may have been dead last. WRB was the most popular.
