Clear Bra Quote/Questions

Hey everyone,

I recently got a quote in the South Bay for a clear bra for a 'front package': full hood, full bumper, and partial fender for ~1.5k. Does this seem reasonable?

Furthermore, because the car is so low, would anyone strongly recommend also getting clear bra over the roof?

My original plan was to go for clear bra on the previously mentioned front package and then opticoat over everything to be fully protected (~2.3k total); this is my first new car and I'm willing to invest to protect it.

Thanks in advance for any tips/advice!

I had my whole front end done for about that price - full hood, full front bumper, both full fenders. I have a nick right above the front windshield - but I don't see any need to do the roof.

I don't know much about Opti Coat but I can refer you to my guy for clear bra if you like (PM me). They do a great job with lots of experience - cars like BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari.

This topic has come up before, you just have to run a search in the NorCal regional sub forum to find it. I personally only did the full front bumper and none of the rest. I feel like that gives me most of the protection I need, at a reasonable cost. Sure I have one or two little chips on the hood, but probably 85% of the frontal rock hits are taken from just the bumper. Just throwing numbers out there but I'd feel like hood would be 10%, fenders 4%. Roof and side mirrors that last 1%. But, sounds like you're willing to pay for full protection, so go for it!
