Nevermore's Hot Lava - Vesuvia

I've posted about the name before, but I figured I'd put it here for the purpose of it being a journal. My team lead at work told me I should name my car something volcanic because the color is Hot Lava. The first thing that came to mind was Mt. Vesuvius and how powerful it is, and how the name sounds. But I saw that all sports cars are female and realized I needed a girl's name. After discussing it with a friend, I decided on Vesuvia.

This has been a forever long wait and I'm pretty sure I've annoyed everyone I know bugging them about my car and how much I liked it and wanted it.

Timeline:
4/28 - Ordered.
5/21 - Order placed to factory.
9/07 - Placed in production.
10/25 - Found it on the lot, can't have it until they call me.

And for some reason the pictures didn't want to resize all the same size, don't know why. But anyways, it sucks knowing it's there, but I can't have it yet.

I'm going to try and compile the pictures I've taken and posted here. I'll also put some pictures in this thread that don't really have a spot, or just pertain to me and my car in general.

This link is for some industrial style pictures:

From the Landmark thread.

Last week when I first got my car I decided that it's too nice to park in the free company lot, so I bought myself a monthly pass at a parking garage near my building. Of course, I had to snap a couple of pictures. You can see how close I got to the wall trying to keep it away from other people.

I've heard good things about Santa Anita. My family is pretty big on horse racing so it's hard not to hear about it every now and then.

Anyways, it's been a while since I've posted anything. I guess I could do the generic stuff about how I feel about call after such and such amount of time. I'll be short though. I love the car, a lot. I've never gotten this comfortable in a car this fast before. My 626 fit me like a glove, but that was after owning it more than 5 years. I felt good in the FR-S from day one. I can't say I'm very good at flying around corners, but I'm sure I'll learn as I go.

My dad said the woman he works with that handles the lease program told him that the best time to buy the car out of the lease is at 30k miles because they give you a discount of the remaining value. So I'll probably be taking it around then, if my finances look good.

And now for the obligatory ODO shots. Should be in order. First weekend, first week, and then 1k, which took less than a month.

Installed my dash plaque that I got from 86_ZN6 yesterday. One step closer to getting some customization going. XD

Couldn't figure out the mention.

Finally got a weekend warm enough to give her a bath without it raining the whole weekend. I waited longer than I meant to to wash her, and then it took a long time to do it and by the time I finished I was almost out of daylight so I ran up to the park near my subdivision and tried to beat the sunset.

I really like this one, save for that stupid yellow spot.

Pretty proud of this angle, took some cropping to get it right.

This one was actually on my way out of the park when I noticed more light on the path than the spot I had parked.

The "I deserve to be in a magazine" pose.

Another advert style pose.

Yeah, I'm not the best photographer. I'll keep this in mind for the future. Thanks!
