Notification when mods make changes?

A few minutes ago I posted a topic about a new FT 86 video I found. I had trouble embedding the YouTube video, so I spent a few minutes researching how to do it correctly, then I spent the next few minutes trying to figure out where my topic had gone.

A mod correctly deleted it, since I eventually found that someone had already posted the exact same video last night, but there was no notification of any type that a mod action had occurred.

Can we get the mods to notify members when changed are made? It would make life a whole lot easier for everyone. I know it takes another 30 seconds of work, but in the big picture it will save much more time spent answering questions from people wondering what happened.

Thanks guys, and thank you for making this a clean forum!

Maybe a good idea to search before you post. That will take 30 seconds of work, but in the big picture it save much more time for us ;)

& no, I'm not been sarcasm. Seriously, if you search before hand or even scroll page or 2, it'll save a ton of our work. That goes out not only to you, but to other members (mostly new members).

I just lock reposts instead of deleting them, or merge them if needed.

I did search. UAE came up with zero results and still does. I also looked through the general FR-S forum area before I posted it. Nada.

I whole-heartedly agree with you that people SHOULD search before they post, but having a good admin communication policy would only help to make this forum even better than it is now.

It's all I'm sayin.

I think, I'll do as Dave stated. Just lock it w a reason.

Is that sound fair?

btw I did type in "UAE Launch" in the search & it did come up
