Washing Your Car Without a Hose! (How-To Video)

Hey guys! So during some of the SF/Daly City meets, there's a lot of pondering on how and where to wash a car.

Some of you live in places that have water restrictions, or some of you may not have a driveway! Unfortunately, many of us are also affected by regulations due to the current drought we are in.

The method I provide in the video can most likely be used as a solution to the problems mentioned above. I specifically shared this in the NorCal forum because I've met people who are curious about using this method, but may not know how to use it.

There is also a GoogleDoc with more detailed instructions, so be sure to check that out.

If anyone has any questions just bring them up. I go to the SF/Daly City meets a lot in the car you'll see in the video (it's not an FR-S )=) so if you need a sample I can probably hook you up! Other people here use it too, so maybe they can share their wisdom too.

Hope this helps you guys! #savewater California!!

I use the updated Gary Dean wash method with Optimum No-Rinse (instead of his detail juice). I use 2 buckets, one with soaked towels in 2 gallons of water and a shot of ONR, the other is just empty and used to hold the used towels. I fill up a squirt bottle with the ONR/water mix to break up the dirt before gliding the soaked towels over the surface.

It works really well for the minimal time investment. I only use two gallons of water, and have no problems doing a full wash in my apartment complex. I just find a couple of empty parking spots in a row and go to work. Takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on how fast I work. Nobody's complained about it because, frankly, I'm not making a mess at all. It's a very tidy way to clean your car.

ONR is amazing. How are you guys just hearing about this :confused0068:

I get lots of people asking how my car is so clean for living in an apartment.

ONR is quite available everywhere, but I buy my supply online -- amazon has a gallon bottle for like 38 dollars. quite cheap considering you can get about 100 to 150 washes from that gallon.
