INTRODUCTION
Hey guys! I have a rebadged 2013 Firestorm FRS, with an automatic transmission (yes, AT!!..) I'm from the Chicagoland area. I've owned the car for over two years now and I do have to say the car has been amazing. But like a lot of reviewers, and other owners, the car just isn't cutting it on the power side. Regardless of the initial intentions for the platform, I feel it needed just a bit more power. Which brings me to converge to a turbo platform. I've decided to go with the Treadstone Performance kit. What won me was the type of turbocharger they decided to use, and also the value for the pieces that were included.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Borg Warner EFR 6758: Compressor; 67mm Exducer, 53.9mm Inducer, 49lb/min max flow rate, w/ an electronic boost control solenoid. Features Gamma Ti turbine wheels, dual ceramic ball bearing cartridges and investment cast stainless steel turbine housing.

Tuning: ECUTEK; comes all included in price with a base tune, license, and cable.

Treadstone TR8 Intercooler: Core size 24” x 7.9” x 3.5”, efficient up to 500hp.

Manifold/Downpipe/Headers: Constructed from schedule 10 304 stainless weld, larger 3” 304 Stainless downpipe, with extra O2 bung for wideband standard, manifold is constructed with a 2 piece design, air intake.

Piping: 6061 mandrel bent aluminum and powder coated wrinkle black finish.

Hardware: Includes heavy duty T-bolt clamps and 3 ply silicone couplers, braided lightweight oil lines and waterlines utilizing reusable AN fittings, oil pan comes pre welded, and all nuts bolts gaskets are included.

Heat Protection: DEI heat shield and heat wrap, DEI T25 / T28 Titanium Turbo Shield with LR Technology.

Fuel Pump: Drop-in TRE265 Treadstone Compact 65mm 265lph in-tank Fuel Pump, able to support approx 500hp, and is E85 Compatible.

EXISTING SUPPORTING MODS
Mishimoto Performance Radiator
Mishimoto Oil Cooler Kit
Mishimoto Racing Thermostat
P3 Multiple Vent Gauge (boost, afr, coolant, oil, ect.)
Custom AT Cooler
Swift Racing Technologies 3" full exhaust. (will connect @ down pipe)

GOALS
My goals are stay pretty conservative with the power, shooting for around low ~300 rwhp, and this kit I thought was perfect for it. I figure considering the power:weight ratio it will be okay without worrying too much about issues.. hopefully! I want to run about 12 PSI on 93oct. Since I picked up a 2014 Prius C for class, the car will be driven on nice days, and stored for the winter.

UPDATES

**8/14/2014**
The car goes in at Touge Factory (Wheeling, IL) on Monday the 18th. Once the kit is done being installed, the car will be trailered to Sound Performance (Bensenville, IL) in which it will be thrown on the dyno and tuned by Six Star Motorsports (Schaumburg, IL). Hopefully everything goes smoothly, car should be completed within 1-2 weeks. I will post again if I get any update pictures, and results.

**8/18/2014**
The install is moving along over at Touge Factory, it's tough because the kit didn't come with any instructions, so we provided them with as much information and diagrams as possible. Below is a picture (post #10) of the progress!

**8/22/2014**
All of the mechanic portion of the build is complete, we just now have to wait until we can get a base map tune for an AT car so that we can get the car started and check for any problems or leaks. They had to relocate the oil cooler to mount at an angle in front of the bumper reinforcement. The second post will show pictures of the finished install.

**8/28/2014**
Due to some unseen events, because of the unresponsiveness of Treadstone, tuning of the car has been pushed back. The car will now be tuned by JR Tuning over @ P&L Motorsports the week of the 8th. JR has proven AT tuning experience on the turbo platform for the car, (created entire base map for P&L's first AT Turbo BRZ). More results when that is finished !

**9/8/2014**
Dropped the car off @ P&L Motorsports to be tuned. My appointment is for the 9th, so hopefully I can post some results in a few days here! Almost done with this build.

**9/19/2014**
Sorry late post, been driving the car for a week now. It made 271 rwhp with 220 torque @ 10psi on 93oct. I am extremely limited due to having only a fuel pump + stock injectors. In the Spring I'll be doing a retune with bigger injectors to get me around 325. Car though runs great. About 150 miles on the kit with no leaks. Runs a bit too rich under boost, but that can be tuned out. Extremely happy with the results! Up from 167 rwhp stock. All I can say is WOW. Completely new car, the power is awesome. I've never owned a turbo car before, and I have to say I love the boost. If anyone hasn't felt a turbo/sc 86 yet, I highly recommend you do. I really wanted to give a big thanks to all the guys at TF and P&L for the great work, and friendly customer service.

**3/23/2015**
I have about 1500 miles on the kit, with no problems besides it running a bit too rich under boost. I am getting ready to go back to P&L to get tuning done with Prime Motorings Flex Fuel Kit and Deatschwerks 900cc injectors. I will be tuning for E, and looking to run about 340 to the wheels.

Looking good! Make sure you put o-rings on the fuel pump when you install it. If you don't it'll lose fuel pressure. Let me know if you have any questions!

Are you sure that is 91?!

Beautiful car! Nice job!

Looking good!

I sent your dad some pics for the install (coolant & vaccum lines & bcs wires). Let me know if you have any additional questions. You can PM or text me (210-246-3939).

Looks good, how is the fitment of everything? Any cutting or drilling you had to do?

I haven't seen the car personally yet, but I do believe there isn't any cutting or modification of anything thing yet. Just some relocating of my oil cooler and the factory horn. Oil pan does need to be replaced, but otherwise thus far it is basically all bolt on.
