Perrin 3" exhaust or T1R 70r sparrow exhaust?
Hey guys need some advice. I'm looking to purchase an exhaust that's good enough for a future turbo set up. I want to hear everyone's opinion and advice on the two exhaust and which one would you guys to with.
Thanks in advance. |

Just from me looking around seems like Perrin is what most people go with when they go with FI and T1R because I have a buddy who can hook up a good deal. But I'm just curious what is better out of the two? Should I buy a used T1R for half the price of Perrin or should I just get the Perrin if it's a better product.
Thanks |
I just put on a 3" resonated Perrin with AVO front pipes - no cat. I am FI. It sounds great - not loud. I love it. Perrin is 15 minutes from my house so I just drove over and picked it up in the showroom too. Can't go wrong with this exhaust and FI.

I am completely happy with my 3" Perrin, it sounds great, and isn't annoyingly loud, which was important to me, as it's a daily driver. I have no experience with other systems, but the Perrin is great. It looks nice too ^_^

I have the Perrin 2.5" with an Innovate SC and I love the Perrin. First rate quality and sound.

ok good to hear that perrin is a good product for future FI
thanks for all the input |
Dude if I were you, get the fucking T1R that your buddy is hooking you up for, for "half the price of the Perrin." Why I say this? I bought a over $1k cat back and I regret doing it now, as I've learned that unless it's a header, buy it second hand. It's not worth spending a tremendous money on a measly exhaust if it yields probably ~5 whp (it's nothing you can feel). If I was to do it over again, I'd probably just buy a reputable cat back that's used- because at the end of the day, the cat back portion of the exhaust is just metal. Don't get me wrong, I really do respect and appreciate the craftsmanship in quality products- hence why I spent a lot on my exhaust. In the end, you do get what you pay for. "To each, their own"

Here's the thing, why I spend a little more on my parts is for multitude of reasonings. As the saying goes you get for what you pay, and in that way either you pay it now or you pay it later.
What i'm saying is if the lower end exhaust (whatever it might be) takes a poop or rusts or guts itself in 2 years you'll end up spending that amount all over again. The perrin (or any higher/well established brands) will be around and will have warranties. Not only that but they're established and the quality in the product will last and not age. Alot of people dont realize but aftermarket parts will begin to look older than the car, and will get more beat than your average car parts. (think lips/spoilers/etc/etc) |
When posting a "which exhaust thread" it should be a forum rule that a sound clip/video MUST be embedded for each option.
