Help plan my trip

Hi Everyone,

I am travelling to San Jose in November. (coming from Ottawa Canada)

I plan to visit San Francisco and the Laguna Seca race track when I am there.

Can you guys give me suggestions of places to go, things to do, food to eat?

Any help would be appreciated. Locals always know the best hidden gems of their city.

Depending on what you like or don't like. Sf is only 45 min away from Sj. But depending on if you want to try different food places, scenery, etc. you just need to yelp it. Sf has a 49mile scenic drive. All through sf and all the spots in the area.

There's a rather new-ish restaurant at 400 Tyler St. in Monterey, called "Turn 12". It has great food and is themed around the Laguna Seca track.

I was impressed.

Laguna Seca is south of SJ by Monterey (1hr from San Jose without Traffic) so maybe it's a day trip where you can head down to LS then Monterey, Carmel by the Sea, toward Big Sur (about 2 hours south). Driving highway 1 is a must (see pictures)

For Laguna, you can typically just drive in, take picture, but it is always better if there is some events so you can see the track in action. Many 86s owners had the opportunity to take their car on that track and have a lot of fun, but the next track event is not until Dec 1st (not in the time frame you are visiting)

SF is north of SJ probably another day trip (check traffic) and must check out places in SF: Lombard Street, Twin Peak, Cliff House, Golden Gate, Pier 39

In between there are some nice area to hang out such as Santana Row, Palo Alto/Los Gatos Downtown.

And you are more than welcome to join us at our weekly meet too :) feel free to PM me if you need more help!

Actually, if you are interested in getting on the track, Trackmasters will have a track days there November 8, 9. Spaces for non-Mazda and non-Yamaha will be limited though, as it is a Mazda event. I believe they may be revealing the new Miata at that event too.

Correction!: I was wrong about the date of the Miata reveal. That looks to be happening on September 3rd at Seca.

I see I see... Do you really think it is feasible for me to acquire a 215 card during the 10 days that I will be visiting Cali? Remember that I am not an American citizen; just a tourist from north of the border. :scared0016:
