livery... nice or rice?

inspired by the livery on the GT3 RS 4.0. the red stripe is the STI cherry blossom red and the number 14 that belongs to my favorite F1 driver Fernando Alonso. the Japanese letters mean mockingbird that refers to my screen name on the forums Mokinbird87. matte gold stripes will be a close match to the wheels. Colin Chu from Kinetic Custom Machine, Mike Kang from Counterspace Garage represented as I get tremendous help/knowledge from them, and you can find the wrxatlanta logo to represent the forum where everything sort of started for me as a car guy with my gone but not forgotten bugeye.

that`s all good but is it rice? I have never been a fan of ANY stickers or decals, but since my first track day I feel the need for a more permanent solution rather than just blue tape for the track number... should I just get one of those magnetic numbers and call it a day or push through with this and create something different?

here is a quick illustrator of what I`m thinking of... front and back shots are photos from subaru, side view is my actual car. I apologize for the crappy quality ahead of time.

please be honest. I wont be offended.

I kind of like the sides, but the hood, roof, and trunk are a bit much to me, but that is just me.

rice...but its your car. do what you will. dont fool yourself into thinking you are going to please everyone with what you do to the thing.

While I will never say no to cherry blossom red, that huge gold stripe up the middle has got to go. Try picking two colors and stick with those, the blue of your car, and one other.

ill see mustangs and camaros with the stripes down the middle and I will facepalm so hard http://www.atheistfoundation.org.au/...s/facepalm.gif

my car had stripes on it from the dealership to give you a little bit of an idea. I wasn't about it, took them off pretty quick.

I call rice haha but thats just my opinion

Stripes are a bit busy, design is fine but maybe simpler or just a single color?
The number is going to be a sticker you run permanently? Not my style for a daily

Don't know if the BRZ could pull it off but I think the 458 Speciale does a sweet job...

Your car, do whatever you want with it.

If you want to be a race car, sure...

But if you want to do it, I suggest you not ask for opinions.

I wouldn't even consider that rice, it's just corny looking.

Nothing wrong with magnetic track/autocross numbers.

The rest of it is just cosmetic, which comes down to personal taste. I'm not a huge fan of the center stripe, but the side stripes might look ok if toned down a bit. Either way, your car. If it makes you happy...
