FR-S SNS 200 mystery NAV/XM/Receiver
Why isn't there any NAV/XM/Receiver in the build-it options when buying the FR-S or any SCION. Impossible to find if you don't know it exists, Scion has the SNS 200 NAV/Receiver. But it is not listed as purchase option for any Scion I can find. On my new FR-S, I am not going to hang a separate Garmen when there is room for a big screen on the sound system. The only FR-S sound option is a Bespoke targeted just for iPhone users and it does not have turn-by-turn NAV...really? My salesmen did not appear to know the SNS 200 even existed. I only found out about it using Google.
The SNS200 has been around for a couple of years. Can anyone tell me: Why doesn't Scion promote it on new models? Why doesn't the FR-S offer a NAV/XM/Receiver at least as good as a 5 year old Prius? Are there problems with the SNS200? |
SNS200 is pretty ancient, way over priced and has terrible resolution. I would seriously consider an aftermarket nav unit, as there are several for less then half the cost of the SNS200 and they do everything BETTER.

SNS 200 not offered for 2013
I wrote Scion Customer Service about this and this is what they told me.
"The reason why you don't see the SNS 200 option on our web site is because Scion currently is not offering the SNS 200 as an option on our 2013 model year vehicles." |
