Another exhaust ticket. Looking for a stock muffler. Not willing to pay much for it. In Orange County... Let me know.

Furthermore what are the rules in California regarding exhaust? Do they really have the right to impound my car off the street? I have an exhaust ticket currently with court next Monday. The guy who pulled me over today says he now has the power to flag me for immediate inspection. Also is there a place to test it without the cops being involved? I believe I may pass as I only have a cat back and front pipe with no cat or resonator..

If you don't mind me asking, what aftermarket exhaust do you have that keeps getting tickets?

If you give the cop a reason to believe you have illegal car modifications, he can inspect.

As far as impounding... usually thats a repeat offender penalty.

Moral of the story is: Do not have an obnoxious exhaust in California

I have my stock muffler, but it would be shipped from the other side of the US.

You won't pass the inspection, as you have removed a cat. Which in itself is a federal crime. I would be looking for a front pipe with a cat in it.

I'm in fullerton and have a stock muffler sitting in my port storage space.

I'm running ft86speedfactory v1 catback with Invidia racing pipe front pipe. It's extremely loud but so sexy. Always turn heads and get compliments but the city of mission Viejo which I now cover for week really, really, really, really doesn't like it
