wheel repair/powder coat shop in Portland?

so when you go powdercoat the rims, is it best to get the scratches/curb damages out first? Or does the blasting get rid of it?

What wheel shop do you recommend to get the curbed/scratch fixed?

Wheelkraft NW

WheelKraft! Highly Recommend them! Tell them Rio, the guy with the white FR-S and Enkei wheels referred you. I used their Vancouver location, but they might have a Portland location also. http://www.wheelkraftnw.com/

Just FYI about Wheel Kraft. I went to them about my wheels they wanted to do my wheels but couldn't because of the chrome steel lip. The owner told me that he was also cutting back on custom stuff. He wants to focus on wheel repairs because the custom stuff was taking up to much time. So don't be surprised if he turns you away for custom work.

I don't understand why he said the to you because last Friday he showed me two custom sets he's working on. One of them where a special edition of Legacy GT wheels and they were SICK!

awesome, thanks guys I'll give them a call. I got a pretty damn good deal on the Rays 57E in dark blue with RE11 tires. They are curbed so need to be fixed.

18x8.5F, 18x9.5R, 225/40 and 255/35.

they quoted me $125 per rim to repair or $140 each to repair/powder coat. Seems like painting it will be a better deal..

Maybe he didn't want to work on my wheels, and it was easier for him to say that then to just say sorry i don't want to risk damaging your wheels?

That's a really good point. I can see him minimizing risk that way if it was a structure risk.

just went there today to drop off my rims. awesome guys, and picked out a pretty sweet paint color. They even dismount/mount your tires after finished, and balance, all included in the price.

Will recommend to others.
