I looked up what SCUBA stands for:

Check above, you were making a joke about the guy who gave you details of the new models specs when for all anyone knew it couldve had a turbo slapped on it. He mightn't have given you the mechanical blueprint that a lot of people required here to even entertain the thought that anything like that existed. For all anyone knew it wouldve had a 2.5 v6 slapped on.... Just sayin

Again, he could've had great info, but his presentation was poor. Poor enough he got banned. If you need to reply to posts about this guy from about a year ago, like you're doing with me, I can refer you to the thread that got him banned. There are plenty of "told you so" people you could argue with there.

Close but still less and you... I mean "he" was claiming to have already a year and a half before they were built. If you just wait long enough then every outrageous claim about the car could come true. Hell even Motoring.au may actually get their predictions for the 2014 model right some day.

I or he doesnt really matter tcoat. If the car wasnt built how would he know those details and argue with a lot of people about it. A lot of what he said is now apparent in the 2017. Only two things could have happened here a) Toyota took his ideas and copied them b) he could've been telling the truth. Pick one of the above... Knowing u ull add a c,d,e.... All the way to z and then some. Its simple bro, its a or b

They came standard with the bare bones version in Germany. Someone asked me once to buy them, but it was too expensive to ship them in the US.

Considering his track record, I should just ignore him moving forward.

Yes that is best. I will simply go back to joking with him since it is apparent that he had a time machine.

Damn, I got all excited.

I know it will be expensive, but I plan on having a set shipped to me some day.

Maybe he sees into the future, or that time machine could be a possibility. So
c) clairvoyant d) time machine

Coincidence.
Changing the initial statement to meet the known condition.
Lucky guess.

Hang on a sec, are you saying he hit the nail on the head with what he said? are u saying that the details of what he was saying he bought and what a 2017 86 is being very close?

Sure the outside got spruced up a bit, but u know that the chassis is still the same, the engine is not a new one its the very same, they only increased its hp and played around with a few things to rev her up a bit. Its the very same engine/chassis not sure what internals have been changed but nothing extreme I think. I'd hold on to what I have imo its the exact same car, same engine only tweeked a bit. Still a beautiful car to zoom around in thats for sure

No.
The claim was that the car already had all those things not that they were coming.

I will end this with an old saying:
"If you throw enough shit at a wall some will stick"

If he didnt actually have one how'd he know what the changes were? Please don't tell me luck or time travel. Maybe he didnt even have one but had info about the new 86, whatever his motives, he came very close to describing something that didnt exist. You think the 2017 was built without making prototypes or sample vehicles earlier? Maybe he bought one of those in the early stage of design thus the trd kit and strange badging. Who knows, maybe he was mistaken but how the hell does someone make a mistake like that by describing something that was only a rumor

Start a new thread or resurrect the original if you wish to debate this further. We have interrupted this one enough.

Maybe he's John Titor.

I recently swapped out my oem rims, noticed they are branded Subaru if that means anything. I drive a 14 FRS

Everything on the car including the Scion badges are marked Subaru. They didn't make the parts though.

I want to know who made the Hill Launch Assist. It feels like crap.
