300hp vs 380hp evo

So im on fb and theres a tuner trying to tell me that another guys 300hp sc frs will beat my buddies 380hp evo. Can someone tell me where im missing something? And my buddies evo runs 11.9s consistently. And if ur wondering why we are arguing about it. Read the guys ad on craigslist. And the guy im arguing with is his tuner. Which makes me worried because who will make that kinda claim? And i never came off as a jerk about it, i just asked and they put me out to be some jerk trying to shit on his sale post onfb. But really i just asked how do u make a claim like that. Sc frs with 300 ponies to beat a modded sti or evo on and off the track.

Beat it at what, the quarter mile? Who's the tuner? The owner of this car is a member here, by the way.

Too many variables involved to say one way or the other, but a 300 hp Vortech 86 doing better than 11.9 on the strip? That's pretty impressive.

Best the Evo in the twists and turns? That's more likely.

His ad seems like he has a bad attitude. I usually text those ads with a ridiculous low ball offer to see what happens.

More likely, but I'm not sure I'd call it likely. The Evo can be made to turn pretty well, AWD with magical diff fairies is helpful.

Revolutions Performance then. If their claims are good, then they may have the quickest Vortech 86 yet. Of course, not a lot of people get these cars to drag, so there aren't a lot of slips going around, but I haven't seen any Vortechs in the 11s.

80hp isn't a huge difference in power once you factor in the weight difference. They're about 600-700lbs heavier, which by rough math is equivalent to 60-70hp.

On a drag strip, the AWD advantage is huge. On a road course, assuming the FRS isn't running stock tires, it would be quite close.
