Anybody got the OEM-style rear diffuser and rear quadrants installed together?

So I got a 2015 BRZ Aozora Edition (Canada's Series.Blue), and they come installed with the rear quadrant under spoilers already... Also since it's a 2015, they got the bigger exhaust tips, which looks nice.

I'm thinking of putting on the OEM-style rear diffuser. I won't be getting it from the dealer, just the replica ones.

Anybody already got both installed together? I just want to see some good pics before doing it.

Thanks guys!

Thanks! Isn't it late night already there in BC still?

Was yours the dealer installed one for $600+?!

Im a night person lol. I am a Subaru technician so technically dealer installed :P. It is the Subaru diffuser. I originally had it on my 13 brz and swapped it to my aozora. Its the finishing touch for the lip kit imo. Pics are a little dark though.

Thanks so much man! It sealed the deal for me!

I hope the replica ones have good fitment and look good enough. $600+ isn't worth it. :(

They don't need to be drilled correct? Apparently there are holes already prepped for it?

conekiller 08-09-2014 02:15 AM

The holes are marked with a circle and a cross through it. They do require drilling though.

Hmmm... I wonder why the replica ones don't require drilling?

conekiller 08-09-2014 02:24 AM

Self tapping screws or clip mounts maybe. I cant say for sure. The subaru one is hardcore secure, a typical manufacture accessory trait.

The replica one I got required the same 3 holes to be drilled that the OEM unit needs. It's no big deal though because even if you remove the diffuser later on, the holes are set pretty far back and underneath so you would have to get down low to even see them.

Okay maybe I misunderstood the replica installation procedure...

Are there many kinds of replicas around?

cnk 08-09-2014 02:39 AM

There are a few, but I'm pretty sure they all use the same type of hardware to install and require drilling. Some people choose not to drill and to use 3m tape in the center section, but it still leaves a gap on the sides if you don't drill and use the offset bracket. I got my replica off the vendor forums, the one that costs $65 shipped and it looks great.

Got mine off amazon. 55 dollars. Fits and looks great. Only thing is mine didn't find with instructions. Found a write up on here. Took 25 minutes to install

there are some daylight pictures in my build thread if you want to look at those.
