Fundraiser/donations?
 

As it is known, we recently lost a fellow 86 family member. I have only met Buzz a few times but it was clear he was an amazing guy since the first time I met him. I want to start some kind of fundraiser and donation to help his family in this tragic time. I've never held a fundraiser of any kind before so anyone with experience or ideas, I ask for some assistance. 100% of profits will go to his family. One idea is making a sticker that we all can put on our cars remembering him. Anyone that might have a design in mind please feel free to share. If there are other suggestions, again feel free to share.

I was trying to plan something like this too once I got in contact with his wife about the details of his memorial. He was awesome with animation. I am def interested in the decal idea.

an excellent idea, and something I had given some thought to as well. perhaps a simple decal, just saying "rememberBuzz". something all of us can place somewhere on our car to honor him. Whatever idea we come up with we can probably team up with @Msnicoleeeee to get the decals made.

If you want to use a website to help collect donations from everyone, I would suggest youcaring.com . This would be a way to reach out beyond our forum community and other friends and family of Buzz can donate as well.

I have used it before to set up a fundraiser to help a dear friend of mine pay her medical cost after a car accident that left her a tetraplegic.

I did not no Buzz but he seems like the type of guy who would help me in my worst moments, so I am just trying to do the same. My condolence to all. What ever the community decides to do will have my full support.

don't know if you guys notice Buzz's license plate "LOL PWR"

i like the sense of humor he put on the plate that best describe the 86s and his connection to our community.

i dunno if we would ever get to see the "LOL PWR" white FRS on the road but it would be something we can have on our car sticker along with buzznasa

im not sure which one works better... i just borrow CA plate license font n made them.

A couple ways you might also want to try it:

"LOL PWR" on first line with a small buzznasa underneath, or maybe "In memory of buzznasa"

"LOL PWR" with buzznasa in smaller font following or right justified.

FYI, the black background would not be there as the stickers only shows white text area on a transparent background. i made the background black so its easier to view it.

I like. perhaps you should go ahead and make a border around it to make it actually be a license plate shape.
