Can't order a new BRZ???

So I go to my local dealer to look at a couple of used 2013s on the lot. After a bit of negotiations, I can't get the price I want so figure I would ask about a new (2014 or 2015) BRZ. Dealer tells me that they can't order a 2014 and Subaru is not taking orders for 2015s. Whaaatttt????

Is this true or should I check with another dealer?

Check out another dealer. Where are you located in MA?

They won't take orders for 2014 since 2015s are out. I haven't seen a 2015 at any dealership near me yet and none of them have 2014s left either.

You might be able to get one transferred from another dealer.

You should be able to order a 2015, but the 2014's stopped production back in May of this year. I'd check w/ another dealer.

I'm in MA too, and I'm waiting for the 2015's to hit the lots.

SNE (Subaru of New England) is different than SOA (Subaru of America), so the release date of the 15's is different here.

Hopefully we'll get the 2015's here by late September. See noodleface's comment here:

A couple of Massholes have gotten good deals on 2014's (when they had 'em) from Manchester Subaru in NH.

I'm looking for below invoice (26.5K), and if I can't get that price I'll probably look at used brzs.

Yeah I got my new 2014 limited AT from Manchester back in May for $27,995 even with prime subaru of Hudson/being a lot closer to my house.

They also told me September for 2015, which makes nonsense to me considering winter is right around the corner.

Can't order 2015 BRZs in New England yet. Ordering should fire up in September hopefully.

Thanks everyone, it just doesn't make any sense why they would not at least take orders even if delivery was some months down the road. You would think they would need to build a pipeline of orders to affect manufacturing etc.

I live on the south shore so have a few local dealers to try. May need to look at a wider rage of dealers to find something.

That's interesting

When BRZ was released I drove up to Mass and bought mine, they got it before the NY dealer I originally ordered from.

Throw a feeler out on autotrader. I had negotiated 25.7K before even going to look at a BRZ limited 6MT '14.

All they have left is silver however and that is a No go for me :/ Can't get local dealers under 27K For a '15 tho :mad0259:

stugray 09-03-2014 03:12 PM

there is a BRZ "Blue" for sale at my local dealer, so not sure if everything said above is true.

Like I mentioned in your S2k to BRZ thread, you can get new 14 as long as you don't mind silver or silver :)

Yep, the silver is a no-go for me to. CBS or WRB are the only colors I'll consider.

I'm not every bothering talking to dealers about pricing on 15's till they hit the lots.

Yes, but you are in Colorado...since Subaru New England is "different" then SOA, we don't seem to get the new 15s yet.

I'm looking at trading my AP1 S2K for a Black '14 BRZ limited from queens NY now... Has 4K miles and he is offering a good trade.

Yeah, but the 5 seconds(or less!) after you clean it before it gets dirty again, it looks HAWT!

Ask me how I know.:brokenheart:
