Initially 350-ish to the wheels, this is a stock LS1 with long tube headers. I want to get it on a track before I even consider if I want more.

FirestormFRS 04-17-2015 05:23 PM

Very nice car.

Kudos to the guys that did the work and thanks for sharing the latest photos.

@cf6mech will you be attending the Thursday monthly meet when it is finished? would love to see the beast when it is finished and maybe do a quick ride along to feel the power. I took the trip down there and the fab work looks really well done, very clean and tidy so far. Personally I'm sold on a doing the swap ( i also have a friend who works for GM, so attaining an engine should be pretty easy for me! ). I just want to get some passenger seat time just to see what I'm getting myself into lol.

Not sure what the Thursday monthly meet is, no problem for a ride along.

first Thursday of every month. A little while longer i presume for the build to be done :) think it might be ready by the first Thursday in July?

cdrazic93 04-18-2015 03:22 PM

Curious, what ratio did you choose?

Indeed.
Well if your speaking of transmission.
2.66 or 2.97?

cdrazic93 04-19-2015 03:13 AM

yes, the final gear ratio

Lonewolf 04-19-2015 05:47 PM

Fucking awesome!

MidOhioBrian 04-28-2015 12:09 PM

Definitely subscribed, though this is more updated than Vorshlag's site. Hoping we hear that this is successful and beta kits can begin this spring/summer.

babydriver 04-28-2015 11:14 PM

If the headers are Vorschlag, shouldn't the exhaust be called Nachschlag?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Fastbrew 04-29-2015 12:15 AM

They are bizzzy. Great stuff.

:eyebulge: This is an amazing swap and SUPER clean looking! Nice work, can't wait to see this bad boy in action.

Readytoxplod 04-30-2015 08:54 PM

Do want...

Whatabouteggs 05-03-2015 05:31 PM

Looks like the intake routing has been finalized, driveshaft fitment might be the last step here. So close.

Streetthrowback 05-03-2015 06:25 PM

looks good

cdrazic93 05-06-2015 05:07 PM

What diff did you go with? Custom or FBM 8.8 rear end?

Stock Diff. If and when it breaks I will up grade, already have up graded DSS axles.

This swap looks so incredibly well thought out. Almost looks like snapshots from a factory assembly line if you ignore the shop... I'm trying to say it looks OEM.

Vracer111 05-07-2015 11:31 PM

Coming along very nicely! Saw the other pictures of the exhaust setup, looks really good. Why not go with a central exit exhaust with a more efficient (and an ACTUAL) custom diffusor if it's going to mainly be a track car though? Car begs a Porsche Cayman style exhaust exit...

brianhj 05-07-2015 11:44 PM

Why central exit? I don't get it

Do you just have a boner for them?

This build is for Vorshlag to make a Kit with no fabrication by the consumer (truly bolt on ) and the finished product be as OEM as possible, but of course anyone could exclude the header back exhaust in the Kit and have any configuration they want.

Ok, makes sense for keeping oem style configuration from a bolt on and non-car modification perspective for designing the system for the complete kit.
