Hard time deciding between two enkei models!
2 Attachment(s)
Just purchased a white out FRS about a month ago. Deciding between two setups.
1. Enkei T6S staggered setup Front 18 x 8.5 Rear 18 x 9.5 lowered with eibach pro kit 1" or 2. Enkei GT7 stock wheel size...17 x 7 (7.5)? with stock tires. (A bit more conservative) Both wheels in black. Im sure alot of you have gone through the fun decision of which setup to purchase. Would love to get your opinions. Not too many pictures of FRS with either wheel. If anyone has examples would I would really appreciate if you could post them. Fujin photos were the closest to the GT7 Thanks in advance! |
if you're buying new wheels, get something at least wider than stock(so, 17x8 or 17x9)
and if you want to go bigger, obviously go 18's. Either way, I'd run a square setup(same size/width front and rear) instead of staggered. |
Reasoning for the stock size wheels was just a quick replacement without spending money on tires. I find the stock wheels really ugly. purely cosmetic. low cost.
I wonder what the square setup with 18" GT7 might look like lowered. Or even 17"s |
The T6S look a lot better. But you may want to look into going 17x9 square vs. the 18 staggered.
But you need coils to do it correctly because of the +45 offset. |
The GT7's are near stock weight, and over 3 lbs heavier than the Fujin's though with a 45mm offset verses 40mm offset. 7.5" width works fine with the stock Primacy HP's. Can't get Fujin's in black though...and the center caps that comes with both the Fujin's and GT7's make them look ugly. Change to the flat center caps (like on the T6S) and they look much better.
Odd number of spokes is almost always better looking than even number of spokes... except for maybe split-5's... |

http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...ba4d970f72353e its almost $300 dollars cheaper than the staggered RT 5 setup in Hyper Black....not to thrilled with the price markup just for color. I do like the look of 18's more. But its really hard to tell the difference after the car is lowered. |
