IDK, putting 50lbs on tranny and get AWD system? I think, that's well worth the sacrifice.

Agreed

I'll lighten up other parts to even it out (cf Hood, alu wheels, seats, fenders & etc).

I already know what I'd do... Diet lol, might not be 50 lbs worth of diet in me but about 30, then maybe get some lighter wheels

I will be highly disappointed if this is not AWD. Not that I'm a subaru purist at all(funny we are reaching that point haha) but I just think AWD is the most versatile. Personally having it be AWD means I could much more easily run it year round and have it be my only car.

I feel like the subaru enthusiasts will be less likely to buy a RWD only car, and if you aren't a subaru enthusiast you would likely buy the Toyota version anways.

Absolute dream scenario: AWD and they put in the STi 6mt and brembos, ej207 motor revving to 8500rpms. :D Probably won't get any of that sadly.

See what you said puts me in the oddball group. I'm not a Subaru Enthusiast and I would choose the Subaru version because Subaru's values appeals more to me than Toyota does and I would still opt for RWD.

The weight isn't that big of a deal but what if it's at a big premium like $5k? The STI tranny isn't going to be cheap and the front subframe might need to be different alltogether.

But I hear ya on 6mt, Brembos, and revving to 8500rpms.
