Code B1811

Tonight my airbag light came on. Pulled the code and it is B1811. Suggestions?

did you mess with the air bags? If not, take it to the dealer

gramicci101 08-02-2014 03:34 PM

Did you get in an accident and have the airbag fire?

Dustin 08-02-2014 03:50 PM

No and no. Driving regular.

Gotta take it to the dealer then. It's not something you would want to fix on your own.

Supercharged and running EcuTek. Warranty null and void.

Not true. Your supercharger didn't make your airbags go bad. Magnusson act. Sue if they tell you otherwise.

QFT.

The dealer has to warranty the part unless they can prove your mod caused it to fail. That code is for when there's something wrong with the connection to the airbag, either with the wires or the connectors. If they refuse to work on your airbag because you have a supercharger, threaten to go above their heads or file an arbitration case. They'll back down.

Have bigger problems now. Might not make it at all.
