NSW 86/BRZ Car Club - site & forum launched
 

NSW 86/BRZ Car Club have launched their website at http://nsw86brzcc.com/ - come check it out, and join in the local forums. Getting up to speed at the moment, but hopefully should build out into some more locally focused content that is more persistent than the current Facebook page.

Will soon also be launching online sign-ups for club membership as well :)

Is this paid membership only?

No not paid only.

When trying to join it just comes up with the 1yr membership, doesn't worry me but there is no other option. Have I missed something?

Are you trying the Facebook login? It may be checking you are in the NSW club Facebook group. We're trying to keep that to minimise spam.

Yeah join the club is for signing up to paid memberships. Joining the forum is separate. I'll ping the admins and see if there's any option to sign up if you're not on Facebook.

Yeah I don't mind paying but their should be an option for anti FB'ers like me..

So the club and the forum are two separate things?

Yeah I've asked the question, admin guys are gonna see if there's a viable non-FB options, but might be only if you're a member since we can validate your email, because we definitely don't want spamming.

Yeah, club and forum are separate. Currently most are on Facebook, but if you sign up as a member official events and member offers are mailed directly to you, so there's no need to be on FB for it. Cheapest way to get a cams licence if you want to go for a track day if the events etc don't interest you.

Is it still possible to join the club on the site?

I saw the page there for a few days but it looks like it is gone now.

@Airswing, we had a huge response to putting the membership online and unfortunately that's raised a couple of issues for us to clear up (I'm helping out with the website). We've currently pulled the memberships so we can fix it the issues - I'll post here when it's available again.

I don't use Friendface.

Not with MyFriendFace, more the custom membership module we built bogging down the site on shared hosting. Need to recode it so we don't get slapped with web host CPU fees
